Dear High School Volleyball Coaches:
As we prepare for the Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association, District VII Annual Meeting and All-District Team Voting, there is some important information that we would like to share with you:
Coaches
- Stewart Jesse, OHSVCA District VII Treasurer will send an invoice to you in the coming days for annual dues. All dues must be paid prior to this meeting in order to nominate and vote for All-District VII Players and Coaches
- Dues this year are $20.00 per school
- Your nominees for All-District teams must be completed using the attached “OHSVCA – All-District Nomination Form”. This can either be completed in Excel or in Google Sheets.
- Monday, October 19, 2020 by 11:59 P.M. – All “OHSVCA – All-District Nomination Forms” are due via E-mail to Chad Rutkowski (chad.rutkowski@me.com), Jeff Beck (jbeck@perrysburgschools.net) & Stewart Jesse (sjesse@glasscityacademy.org)
- Failure to submit on time “OHSVCA – All-District Nomination Form” for voting results will result in your players not being eligible for All-District teams and you, as the coach, will not be eligible to vote.
- In addition, discussion about nominees both from your school and opposing schools is strictly prohibited. The confidentiality of our coaches and our nominees is of the utmost importance and should be done so with respect and integrity to ultimately that determine the success of our voting in this manner.
- If any issues arise under this addendum for voting, both the school coach and their players will not be eligible for All-District teams and that particular coach will not be eligible to vote. Please help us to protect the integrity of this process by keeping this confidential.
- Thursday, October 22, 2020 by 11:59 P.M. – Each coach will receive access to a Google Drive Folder which will contain all of this years “OHSVCA – All-District Nomination Forms” along with a spreadsheet of all nominees for easy side-by-side comparison.
- If you receive this side-by-side comparison and realize there happens to be an error, please inform Chad directly before Friday, October 23, 2020 so that we can make necessary changes
- Sunday, October 25, 2020 – Voting for All-District teams will take place via Zoom
- Coaches will not be able to vote for their own athletes or for themselves as Coach of the Year
- Coaches will not be able to vote early
- In the Zoom Meeting, you will be provided a Google Form Ballot for this years vote
- We will have you submit this online and, as we have in the past, will review each ballot with the entire group
- If you have not received this email, your zoom meeting email, or received the wrong division email contact Chad Rutkowski (chad.rutkowski@me.com)
- All-Star Game is still to be determined and we will provide more information at the meeting on Sunday, October 25, 2020 on how we move forward with this for 2020.
