OHSVCA All-Star Match

AWARDS BEGIN AT 12:00 NOON, MATCHES BEGIN AT 12:30.

Divisions 3 & 2 play at 12:30.  Divisions 1 & 4 play immediately following the completion of the first matches.

The Ohio High School Volleyball Coaches Association is proud to recognize the top players and coaches in the State of Ohio through the selection of all-star players at the district level as well as the recognition of All-Ohio award winners at the state level.

The state is divided into geographical districts within the OHSVCA. Member coaches of each district vote on players of the year for each division within their district. These players may be from grades 9-12. If the POY is a senior, she is invited to play in the OHSVCA state All-Star Match. If the POY is not a senior, the district then appoints a senior representative to the state All-Star Match. The All-Star Match is held on Sunday, one weekend after the State Volleyball Tournament.

All-Ohio recognition is voted upon by the poll voters from each division across the State of Ohio. Recognition is given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd team players, as well as honorable mention award winners. The players are recognized prior to the start of the All-Star Match. These players may be any age in grades 9-12.

Quite often the District POYs will also receive All-Ohio recognition. However, being selected All-Ohio does not guarantee a spot in the All-Star Match. Priority is given to the District POYs, with rosters filled from the All-Ohio teams as needed.
